Alexis Smith

I am a photographer living in Chicago, IL. Despite my parents wishes, I attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte to pursue an Art degree after taking a few Photojournalism courses at our local community colleges. While my attempts at art-making as my full source of income only lasted (and failed) a few years, I still shoot as much as a I can. Mostly people, lots of travel and some landscapes here & there — I consistently look for symmetry, cerebral tones, and a sense of raw human-ness in every frame.
